Meet our Teachers.........


Head of Acrobatics: Phoebe Le Blond


Phoebe (Head of Acrobatics) : 

 Phoebe has had extensive Dance and gymnastic carer. She has achieved Honours in every dance examination she has taken since being a youngster. 

Phoebe has achieved high gradings in her recent Advanced Ballet examination. Phoebe has achieved high placing at competitions and performed widely at many events such as: Chance 2 Dance @ The Birmingham Hippodrome and Cadbury world  for the past 3 years, Free Radio (main stage) 3 years running and The Wireless Festival (Elite Fashion show). Phoebe has completed her A level training at 'The Birmingham Ormiston Academy' where she specialised in Dance and Performing Arts.  Phoebe is currently auditioning  for full time performing Arts establishments.

Phoebe is Head of Gymnastics at DA Sutton Coldfield 

Phoebe has gained her qualifications for coaching gymnastics and is enjoying her management roles at both Dance Attack and Urban Trix. 

1§§Vice Principal's of DA Sutton Coldfield: Jenny Danks & Rebecca McCormack


Jenny Danks (Vice Principal): 

Jenny started her Dance carer at Dance Attack 13 years ago. Throughout her time with DA Jenny achieved numerous gradings with honours for examinations.

Jenny showed her love of competing 

and represented dance Attack in regular competitions for which she was rewarded with many high placings, Jenny has always demonstrated commitment and discipline to her Dance training.

Jenny is enjoying her management role at Dance Attack as 'Vice Principal' and has recently taken the team through two major performances.

Jenny was nominated for a scholarship following her last examination results which was a wonderful achievement as she was one of 238 Dancers chosen from 5000.

Jenny has choreographed various imaginative and lively routines for numerous performances such as  'chance 2 dance' at The Birmingham hippodrome and many in house performances. Jenny also trains students for their solo's, pairs and Team routines.

Jenny also instructs DA's Baby Freestyle group and teaches DA's Senior classes both on Saturdays and Mondays.

Jenny enjoys singing for which she shows great talent Jenny has entered many singing competitions and also sings  in in house performances. 

Jenny is currently a level 3 qualified teaching assistant in a primary school setting and is currently gaining her teaching degree to become a primary school teacher. 

Rebecca Mc Cormack (Vice Principal):

Rebecca has extensive Dance and Gymnastic Training from an early age. Rebecca has consistently achieved Honours grading for all of her examinations in all Dance styles. Rebecca has recently achieved her Advanced Ballet Award.

Rebecca has gained her Dance & Fitness teaching qualification which she is putting to good use at DA Sutton Coldfield in her role as 'Vice Principal'.

Rebecca has always performed to a high standard in all of her dance Competitions where she has achieved fantastic results. Rebecca has performed in numerous performances such as 'Chance2Dance' at The Birmingham hippodrome and Cadbury World, The elite fashion show, Performances at The MAC Centre Birmingham, The MVisa Awards opening at the ICC and KENSBASE representative. 

Rebecca has trained the 'impact' Team for two recent major performances and choreographed several unique and impactive routines for various productions. 

Rebecca coaches the DA Street Dance team 'IMPACT' on a weekly basis and the Senior open session every saturday. Rebecca also coaches at DA's Monday evening session.

Rebecca is currently studying 'Fine Art' at The  Birmingham School of Art which she is enjoying. 

DA Teachers

DA Teacher Kelly Mc Cormack


Kelly has been teaching at DA for the past 9 years. Kelly trained for many years at The Birmingham  Stage school where she studied in all areas of Dance.Kelly excelled in Acrobatics,  which she continues to enjoy today.

kelly achieved her Dance grading's with The Birmingham School and enjoyed taking part in many Professional performances with them such as 'Jack and the Bean stalk' at the Birmingham Hippodrome, 'The O' Rourke Circus' and 'Cinderella' at the Alexander Theatre. Kelly has also taken part in numerous in house performances in various locations. Kelly  has performed in lots of Pantomimes around the country and participated in shows with 'The Phoenix players'.

Kelly achieved an honours Degree in Humanities with Art History. This included many subject areas including French, English Literature, Roman and Greek mythology, Religious studies, Art History and Archaelogy.

Kelly is currently nearing the end of training to be a Hatha yoga instructor and has commenced Level 5 in management and leadership with young people.  

Kelly is passionate in working with young people and aims to see all of the student's reach their goals and achieve the highest results possible. Ultimately Kelly's priority is to make the children feel comfortable, build their confidence and ensure that they enjoy their lesson.

Kelly has choreographed routines for examinations and performances in the recent years, all of Kelly's pupils have achieved high gradings at all examination sessions. 

Kelly draws on her experience of working in a  primary school setting  as part of the pastoral team. 

Kelly enjoys motivating and guided children in all areas. 

Workshop Tutor Christina Slominska


Christina studied at The Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama and graduated with a BMus (First class) in 2011.

Throughout her Orchestral studies, Christina continued her Dance training, passing her vocational exams with ISTD and qualifying with The International Dance Teachers' Association in July 2011  under the tuition of Christa Collard, IDTA Examiner and principal of walsall Academy of Dance.

Whilst christina was training, she was part of a Caberet Troupe, 'The Follie Dollies', who performed in numerous venues all over England and Wales, including opening and closing London Burlesque week and being guest Artists on numerous TV programmes.

Since graduating, Christina has been successfully combining a dance teaching career along side a performing career as a Percussionist/Timpanist.

Having taught at 3 Dance schools in the Midlands, Christina is a passionate Teacher. Christina has  choreographed for numerous performances and prepared students for numerous competitions and examinations with IDTA. Christina is also a trainer for the new IDTA  Level 4 Teaching Diploma qualification. christina enjoys passing on her knowledge and guiding trainee teachers.

Whilst teaching at DA Christina has been busy with her performing career as a musician, freelancing with BBCNational Orchestra of Wales, The Welsh National Opera, Royal Northern Sinfonia, The Royal Ballet Sinfonia, The Novello Orchestra.

Most recently christian has finished a tour of 'Beauty and the Beast'  filmed with the Novello Orchestra which travelled all over the UK and Ireland. Future projects with the Novello include 'The wizard of Oz', 'La la land', and 'Star Wars, a New hope'. 

Christina also teaches at various primary and secondary schools in The West Midlands area and Leicestershire. Christina is passionate that her pupils will receive the highest level of tuition possible. 

Christina is head of the 'Theatre branch' at DA and delivers the Ballet, Tap and Theatre Craft syllabus  at DA which all of the students benefit from enjoy greatly. 

Christina is currently offering tutoring and workshop sessions in various Theatre Branch subjects at Dance Attack which she is enjoying. 

DA Teacher Joe Woodall


Jee has been teaching at DA for the past 12 months. Joe has been dancing since the age of 11/12 years old. 

Joe enjoys all areas of Street dance, Hip hop and House along with numerous other styles.

Joe brings his unique teaching styles to DA and all of the students enjoy his sessions. Joe runs DA's boys Street Dance session and also takes workshops with our Senior street Dance Group.

Joe's  recent performances include: B-Town (closing the BIDF), Breaking convention, the Elite fashion show 2 years running, Catwalk and fashion show for the teenage cancer trust, The 'Aftermath' Dr King Theatre production at The Old rep Theatre, 'Love music hate racism events', 'King' tribute at the Mac and KENsBASE Representative. 

Joe has enjoyed competing in several competitions and has gained 1st place at SDC and 2nd place at the midlands best Dance crew. 

Joe draws on his experiences of working with Primary school children and aims to inspire young people especially boys to take up learning to Dance.

Joe has recently taught various Dance workshops in Primary schools with DA which the children enjoyed imensely. 

DA Teachers

DA Mentors and assistant Teachers: Hannah Mc Cormack & Grace Sparrow



Hannah has been attending Dance Attack for the past 10/11 years. Hannah has trained in all Dance styles.

Hannah has taken part in all of DA's in house productions and has gained high marks in all of her gradings.

Hannah has shown a passion for working with children had has qualified as a Nursery nurse. 

hannah enjoys assisting with classes at DA and all of the DA children love to spend time with hannah. 

Hannah is continuing her Ballet, Tap, Theatre Craft and Street Dance Training at DA. Hannah aims to attend university to train to be a teacher and to work towards her Dance Teaching qualifications.


Grace: Grace has trained at DA for the last 10 years. She has achieved honours grades in all of her examinations. 

Grace has excelled in all of her  Dance Training in Tap, Ballet, Theatre Craft and Street Dance. Grace has taken part in numerous performances at The Birmingham Hippodrome and in various other shows and productions. 

Grace is currently studying for her A levels and plans to attend university.

Grace has built strong relationships with all of the students at Dance Attack and she is able to support the students with their solo and pairs work by utilising  her strong, dynamic and creative  choreography skills.
